Rules/Regulations for Gran Fondos
Please read the following chapter on Gran Fondo events from the USA Cycling rulebook. All riders must comply with the equipment regulations in order to start the event.
Event Basics
Date: Saturday, July 10
Start time: 8:30 AM
Registration Fee: $75 Gran and Medio Fondo; $50 Piccolo Fondo
Fee includes:
- $5 Meal Coupons for Friday night (Clifton Forge) and Saturday post-ride (Covington)
- Bike valet service at Clifton Forge Armory Friday night/Saturday morning
- Shuttle service from parking at Covington finish to ride start in Clifton Forge on Saturday morning
- Free technical/mechanical support
- Fully stocked rest and water stops
- Free t-shirt to the first 100 registrants (slots still available)
Ride Options/Lengths:
Piccolo Fondo - 35 mi., hilly course
Medio Fondo - 62 mi., mountainous course
Gran Fondo - 88 mi., mountainous course
